For the 2024 ‘Midnight Horror Village’ festival, the Korean Folk Village is unveiling two new content offerings. ‘Abandoned House,’ a spin-off of the popular ‘Gwigul’ (Ghost Cave) content, delves into the mysterious events experienced by the Gwigul investigators. Visitors can immerse themselves in the bizarre occurrences and stories within the investigators' residence, enhancing their Gwigul experience. This content is available daily at Folk Village House No. 25. Additionally, the ‘Ghosts Live Here’ content lets visitors experience the thrill of cohabiting with ghosts, running at Folk Village Houses No. 42 and 43.

The popular K-horror walkthrough experiences, ‘Gwigul: Blood-Eyed Ghosts’ and ‘Gwigul: Living Ghost Jade,’ which were previously only available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, will be open daily throughout the festival. The beloved ‘Ok-sa Chang-kwol’ and ‘Sokchon Ghost Stories’ have also received fresh updates. ‘Ok-sa Chang-kwol’ has been transformed into a Joseon-era escape room, where visitors can search for treasure maps and escape from the prison (Ok-sa) that has become a living hell for prisoners. ‘Sokchon Ghost Stories’ offers a spine-tingling experience as a Joseon-era ghost story teller shares their personal experiences with the audience.
To make your summer night even more exciting, we recommend the ‘Otherworldly Contest’ and ‘Midnight Club: Paradise Party.’ The ‘Otherworldly Contest’ takes place from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, offering extreme fun with a competition to select the ultimate ghost. ‘Midnight Club: Paradise Party’ runs from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, allowing you to dance with the ghosts to powerful EDM music.

The ‘Makeup Experience: Horror Makeup Room,’ where professional makeup artists transform you into a ghost, and the ‘Costume Experience: Horror Costume Room,’ with a wide range of ghost costumes, are also available. This allows visitors to transform into ghosts themselves and create unforgettable memories at the K-Horror festival.
Limited-edition food and beverage options are also exclusively available during the Midnight Horror Village festival. The ‘Chilling Midnight Restaurant’ offers five menu items: △Ink-Black Noodle Soup △Eyeball-Missing Patbingsu △Hell-Fire Tteokbokki △Bulgogi Hell-Dog △Shredded Dried Squid Fritters. The ‘Osaek Yakbang’ (Five-Color Pharmacy) and the ‘Skewer Burning Summer Night’ offer refreshing drinks such as highballs.
